THEME
This project started as a group project where we were given an existing brand to create a new line of speakers for. As a group, we researched Xbox's brand identity and culminated it in the images below. I designed a soundbar it fits with XBox's aesthetic for gaming and having products that are invisible until they are actively noticed.

PRODUCT ANALYSIS
Xbox's products were analyzed to understand how their brand identity influences the products they design and market. 
IDEATION
Different concepts were ideated utilizing design cues and features used in XBox's existing consoles. 
FINAL DESIGN
Two speakers are used to increase the radius and amplitude of the speaker's sound. The speaker is made of ABS and PC which are materials commonly used for Xbox consoles. The speaker has an IP30 rating. ​​​​​​​
Below are prototypes exploring the curved forms that resemble surface details on Xbox products. However, there are too eye-catching compared to Xbox'x identity of having minimal and "invisible" details which are not apparent at first glance. By having a curved speaker grill which is not noticeable until the product is viewed at a different angle, it creates a sense of play that is familiar with XBox's style. The speaker grill is similar to the grill on the Xbox Series X and is elevated by having the grill fade towards the edges as the circles decrease in diameter. 
Xbox's signature green colour is used as a surface detailing to add visual interest at the side of the product and bring attention to the existence of the USB port. The power button is the logo which emphasizes that it is an Xbox product. The buttons are similar to the Xbox controller buttons with a clear glossy finish.
